Man, wife commit suicide in Prashant Vihar

In a tragic incident today, both husband and wife committed suicide by shooting themselves in their house in the Prashant Vihar area of North-West district. The police have recovered the country-made weapon which the couple allegedly used to end their lives.

Board going all out to check copycats
Faridabad, March 20
The Haryana State Education Board is pulling out all the stops to check copying in the annual Board exams. The Board officials booked about 39 cases of the use of unfair means on Friday, while several papers of the Matric and Plus Two classes are still to be held.

53 candidates booked for using unfair means
Bhiwani, March 20
As many as 53 candidates were booked for using unfair means out of 25,137 candidates who appeared in the mathematics examination of the ongoing Senior Secondary Annual Examinations of the Board of School Education, Haryana today.

BJP councillor smells a rat in purchase of plastic dustbins

The secretary of Delhi unit of the BJP and member of Opposition in the Standing Committee, Mr Vijender Gupta, in a letter to the Lt-Governor has demanded that the case of purchase of plastic mobile-wheeled bins involving an expenditure of more than Rs 12 lakh be referred to the Anti-Corruption Department.

Man gets 7-yr RI for dowry death
New Delhi, March 20
A city court has sentenced a person for seven years imprisonment for harassing his wife for dowry, who committed suicide in January 2001.
The court has also fined him of Rs 5,000 in addition u/s 304-A. The accused, Ajay Spehia, was working with armed forces and was posted in Kashmir during Kargil war.
