Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have been reported at most places in Himachal Pradesh, at many places in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in east Rajasthan. Weather was dry in west Rajasthan. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Dadupur and Tajewala 5 each and Ambala, Chandigarh and Jagdhari 1 each; Himachal Pradesh: Kahu 5, Jhandutta and Kasol 4 each, Bangana, Sundernagar and Solan 3 each, Berthin, Pandoh and Shimla 2 each and Bhuntar, Bharwain, Barsar, Guler, Sangrah, Sunibhajji and Una 1 each; Jammu and Kashmir: Banihal and Jammu 2 each, Punjab: Nawanshahr 4, Ludhiana 3, Adampur and Nangal 2 each and Amritsar 1; East Rajasthan: Sepau 2 and Bayana, Deeg, Kotputli and Kaurauli 1 each; East Uttar Pradesh: Besti 21, Chandradeepghat 14, Kakrahi 7, Bansi 5, Gorakhpur 4, Mukhlispur and Palliakalan 3 each, Ayodhya, Birdghat, Bhinga, Chhatnaga nd Mirzapur 2 each and Allahabad, Bhatpurwaghat, Jaunpur, Kanpur, Sultanpur and Turtipar 1 each; West Uttar Pradesh: Fatehgarh 1; and Uttaranchal: Hardwar 4, Pantnagar and Rudraprayag 3 each, Dehra Dun 2 and Marora and Tehri 1 each.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: maximum temperatures fell appreciably in Himahal Pradesh and east Uttar Pradesh, fell in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttaranchal and changed a little elsewhere. Departures: They were markedly below normal in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, below normal in Himachal Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 41.9°C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 30: Rain or thundershowers are likely at many places in Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Rajasthan.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal during next 48 hours.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 30: Mainly cloudy sky with rain or thundershowers in some areas. Maximum temperature will be around 37°C.

Farmers’ weather bulletin for Delhi: forecast valid until the morning of June 30: Light or moderate rain will occur at a few places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
