Rainfall: Weather was mainly dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir and west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were appreciably above normal in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, above normal in Himachal Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region.

The highest temperature in the region was 44.7°C, recorded at Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 1: Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 1: Mainly clear sky with dust haze. Strong surface wind during daytime. Thundery development accompanied by squall is likely in some areas. Maximum temperature will be around 43°C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of June 1: Development of thundercloud is likely at a few places. Squall with wind speed exceeding 65 km ph is likely at isolated places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
