HPSSSB scam accused gets bail

Una, May 30
Sudhir Nishal Chadda, one of the main accused in the HPSSSB scam, was today granted regular bail in the case regarding bribing a police officer and interim bail in the main FIR registered to probe the HPSSSB scam by the District and Sessions Judge.

However, the accused was remanded in judicial custody because the counsels for the accused feared the arrest of their client in another case and therefore did not furnish the bail bond.

Chadda’s counsels M.L. Sehejpal and Anil Kapila argued that the investigating agency had projected Chadda’s arrest as a major breakthrough which would be a great help in bringing to light the irregularities in the recruitments done by the HPSSSB. However, they said during the last six days, nothing substantial had come to light. UNI
