Rainfall: Weather was mainly dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region.

The highest temperatures in the region was 45.7°C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 19: Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Dust storm or thunderstorm is likely in Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the 19 May morning of: Mainly clear sky with dust haze. Thundery development accompanied with squall is likely in some areas. Maximum temperature will be around 42°C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: forecast valid until 19 May the morning of: Development of thunderclouds is likely at a few places. Squall with wind speed exceeding 65 km ph is likely at isolated places.
