Border tension eases as migrants return
Yashwant Sinha Yashwant Sinha invites B’desh Foreign Minister

New Delhi, February 6
External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha talked on telephone with his Bangladesh counterpart Mohammad Morshed Khan last night and invited him to visit India even as the border tension eased with Dhaka today taking back the 213 stranded illegal immigrants, even as Deputy Prime Minister L.K. Advani said though the immediate crisis was over, the problem remained.

Indo-US ties reach new high

The strategic ties between India and the USA reached a new high as the two countries yesterday signed an agreement to boost high-technology trade, giving India the privilege of being the first country with which Washington has entered into such an agreement.

Mr Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister, today filed criminal complaints against Capt Amarinder Singh, Chief Minister of Punjab, Mr Moti Lal Vora, a senior Congress leader, and Mr Anand Sharma, a former MP and AICC spokesperson, for making baseless, defamatory allegations against him.
