Ferozepore DC suspended

Ferozepore, February 6
Mr D.K. Tiwari, Deputy Commissioner Ferozepore was suspended by the Punjab Government today for disobedience and dereliction of the duty. The Deputy Commissioner was to proceed on leave yesterday. He was to go to Lukhnow for a family function. Mr D.K. Tiwari, when contacted admitted that he was to proceed on leave yesterday and he got it sanctioned by the Commissioner but as he came to know that his leave had been cancelled, he did not leave the station. He said that he had neither committed any disobedience nor favoured any particular group in the course of elections. He, however, said that he would report to his superiors in Chandigarh to known his fault. OC
