Departures: They were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and normal in Uttar Pradesh. The lowest temperature in the plains was 7.5°C recorded at Rohtak (Haryana). Forecast valid until the morning of December 18: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal.
