Mr Pradeep Mehta, Special Additional Public Prosecutor, who pleaded on behalf of the prosecution in connection with the framing of charges against Langah and others, argued in the court that prima-facie there was
circumstantial evidence against the accused which led to a conspiracy regarding the accumulation of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income and purchase of “benami” properties by
Langah. On the other hand the counsel for the accused said there were vague allegations against his clients and there was no concrete evidence against them. In this case the Special Judge also framed charges against Amrik Singh Mohali, a senior SAD leader, Vinod Kumar Garg, Subhash Chander Jain, Pradeep Bhateja, Jasbir Singh, Bikramjit Singh, Sampuran Singh, Sher Singh Shera and Subhash Sharma.
