Devotees flee Raghunath Temple
Jammu, November 24
Heavily armed Lashkar-e-Toiba militants stormed the historic Raghunath Temple tonight when it was packed with devotees, killing at least 12 persons, including four women and two securitymen, and injuring around 50 others, some of them seriously, in the second attack on the shrine this year.

Blood-splattered historic Raghunath Temple presented a ghastly sight tonight as gun shots rent the air and bullet-ridden bodies of victims of the terrorist strike lay in the complex.

Even as the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee has undertaken renovation of historical gurdwaras at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore within a short span of three years of its existence, a common devotee is disillusioned to see utter violation of ‘maryada’ (Sikh tradition) within the gurdwara premises.
