Ghastly scenes at temple

Jammu, November 24
Blood-splattered historic Raghunath Temple presented a ghastly sight tonight as gun shots rent the air and bullet-ridden bodies of victims of the terrorist strike lay in the complex.

Wailing relatives of those trapped inside the famous shrine in the attack were in a state of helplessness as they struggled hard to locate their near and dear ones. Darkness made their task all the more tough.

Deafening explosions and exchange of fire appeared to have transformed the sprawling complex and the busy market around into a virtual battleground.

Passers-by and shopkeepers ran helter-skelter as soon as the encounter broke out shortly after sunset. PTI
