Departures: They were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Rajasthan, above normal in Haryana and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 43.0°C recorded at Dholpur (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 16: Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in the rest of the region. Isolated dust storms or thunderstorms are likely in Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan.
