Cement cheaper in Himachal
Shimla, April 14
Gujarat Ambuja and Associated Cement Company (ACC) from April 10 has reduced the price of cement bag by Rs 5 for sale in Himachal, the Chief Minister said at Hamirpur today. He said the cement was cheaper in adjoining states, the fact that both cement factories were located in Himachal. The Chief Minister also informed that the Regional Engineering College at Hamirpur would be given status of deemed university and 50 per cent seats would be reserved for Himachali students there. Church attacked
Bangalore, April 14
A group of people on Sunday attacked a church at Moodabidari near Mangalore, protesting against alleged attempts to convert local Hindus to Christianity, the police said. They said the attackers barged into the church and damaged windowpanes, a door and some vehicles. No one was injured in the incident. PTI

Kanshi in ICU
Indore, April 14
Bahujan Samaj Party chief Kanshi Ram was admitted to Apollo Hospital here after he fell sick at Mhow while addressing party workers on the occasion of the anniversary of Dr B.R. Ambedkar. He was kept in the Intensive Care Unit after he complained of uneasiness and his blood sugar was found to be high,” the Executive Director of the hospital Dr Rajesh Jain said. PTI
