Pak minister escapes unhurt
ISLAMABAD, Feb 8 (UNI) — Pakistan’s Interior Minister Moinuddin Haider, currently on a visit to neighbouring Afghanistan, narrowly escaped death at the Kabul airport yesterday when his plane caught fire as it was about to take off, sources said here today. The minister was to fly to Kandahar. Earlier, a bomb exploded about two km away from the Kabul airport which was described by officials as a “warning message from opposition groups.” The blast occurred in a residential area.
