Mukhija murder case: accused’s alibi doubtful
LUDHIANA, Feb 8 — The statement of Gurbax Singh Kuku, one of the accused in the case of murder of a Congress leader, Harmesh Kumar Mukhija, that he was in the police custody here when the murder took place, is being viewed with suspicion. Mukhija was murdered on November 13 at Dharamkot in the Moga district.

LUDHIANA, Feb 8 — After a wait of nearly four months, a woman of Daulo Khurd village in the district has finally received some justice as the Sadar police has registered a case on her complaint filed on September 20 last year.

LUDHIANA, Feb 8 — The mentally-challenged children studying in a special school called ‘Nirdosh’, suffer from lack of physical coordination and speech impairment. Their low I.Qs are genetic. They cannot, at times, move their limbs effectively. To bring an improvement in their motor movements, the students used to go to DMC hospital, Physiotherapy ward.

LUDHIANA, Feb 8 — The Punjab athletics team for the National Federation Cup Cross Country Championship was announced here on Thursday. The team comprises of 10 female and five male players. The championship will be held at Seba (Madhya Pradesh) on February 25 and 26.
