NEW DELHI, Jan 30 — Rainfall: Weather was mainly dry in the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose appreciably in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh, rose in east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh, fell in west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were markedly above normal in Uttaranchal, appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and east Rajasthan, above normal in west Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 4.0°C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of February 1: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana and Punjab. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of February 1: Generally cloudy sky with possibility of light rain in some areas. Minimum temperature will be around 8°C.
