SGPC team in Srinagar:
In Srinagar to assess the loss of life and property due to the floods, the SGPC team today visited a number of affected areas in the state capital. As per a press statement released in Amritsar, the team said the water level had receded in the residential areas and the people have returned to their homes. However, a lot of their household goods had been damaged.

PHAGWARA
9 hurt in clash: Nine persons, including a woman, were seriously hurt during a clash between two groups in Phagwara on Sunday night. These persons sustained injuries through sharp-edged weapons. Old enmity was said to be the cause of the clash, the police said. The injured were admitted at the local Civil Hospital.

Woman held with poppy husk: The police have arrested a drug peddler, Surjit Kaur, of Dharamkot locality in Phagwara on Monday afternoon. They have also recovered 15 kg of puppy husk from her possession.The arrest was made at a naka on the Hoshiarpur Road on Monday, the police said.
