NFL foundation day: National Fertilizers Limited celebrated its 41st foundation day on Sunday. Various programmes, including a free health check-up camp for villagers, a painting competition for students and a quiz for employees, were organised on the occasion. The NFL, which was founded on August 23, 1974, produces 36 lakh MT of urea annually at its five operating units. It is the second largest producer of urea fertiliser in the country with a market share of 16 per cent.

judicial remand for 2 in sodomy case: A Sunam court on Sunday remanded two Nihangs in judicial custody for "sodomising" a 16-year-old boy from Dirba. Both Nihangs are also residents of Dirba. A case was registered against the Nihangs, Ram Singh and Satnam Singh, under various sections of the IPC and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.In a complaint to the police, the boy had alleged that the Nihangs sodomised him while he was returning home around 9 pm some days ago.
