“It was like a scene from an action movie. A car hits the bus, is tossed into the air, catches fire while the bus flipped twice,” said Suresh Kumar, a CRPF constable who witnessed the accident. He was on the duty at the CRPF check post at the Sector 45/46/49/50 light point.

Stray dogs attack 22-year-old youth

A 22-year-old youth was attacked by stray dogs in Dadumajra village here today.
Uday, who works at a flour mill in Dadumajra, was attacked while he was on his way to his employer’s house. He received injuries on his chest and the right hand.

National workshop
Chandigarh: A national workshop on application of GIS in transportation systems was organised at the PEC University of Technology. Nearly 100 participants including urban planners and civil engineers from different parts of the country attended the workshop. The objective of the workshop was to discuss critical issues and the challenges of public transport systems with the possible application of geographical information systems (GIS). The Surveyor General of India, Dr Swarna Subba Rao, was the chief guest during the inaugural session.
