Following directions from the Centre to do away with affidavits and to promote self-attestation of documents for citizen services, the UT Administration has decided to implement the orders with immediate effect for 217 services.

The University of Western Sydney (UWS), Australia, Vice-Chancellor Prof Barney Glover today said the UWS and Panjab University, Chandigarh, would be benefited with the signing of an MoU as there were a number of areas of mutual interests and both universities had similar strengths. Chandigarh: Prof Peter Clift, eminent geologist and professor of Petroleum Geology, Department of Geology and Geophysics, Louisiana State University (United States), on Monday delivered a talk on origin of monsoon and Himalayan Uplift at the Department of Geology, Panjab University.
