High Court puts PGI on notice over high medicine prices

Acting on a petition filed in public interest by an advocate alleging a huge difference in the prices of medicines purchased from different shops at the PGI, the Punjab and Haryana High Court today put the institute and its Director on notice.

STA challans 386, impounds 110 in July

Cracking down on transport vehicles plying on city roads, the State Transport Authority (STA) challaned or impounded 496 vehicles and recovered around Rs 9.92 lakh as composition fee in July.
