Civic body declares June 25 meeting invalid
Chandigarh, June 30
After the controversy over two MC House meetings held on June 25 and 26, the Municipal Corporation has now decided to declare the June 25 meeting, chaired by Senior Deputy Mayor Hira Negi of the BJP after “hijacking” the Mayor’s chair, as invalid.
Following the stand taken by Mayor Harphool Kalyan, in which he had termed the
June 25 meeting invalid, the MC has also decided to declare the meeting invalid.
Middlemen behind onion price hike?

Amid speculations about onion prices soaring in the coming weeks across the country, the price of onion supplied from Nashik has increased to Rs 40 per kg. This is double the price in the wholesale market for the same variety of onion, indicating malpractice and speculation by middlemen.

SCOs adjoining NIELIT building safe, says expert

The four-storey building in Sector 17, adjoining the building of the NIELIT that collapsed recently, has been declared safe by an expert.
The building can be occupied after repairing the damaged portions, stated a
former PEC professor, Dr IC Syal, in his report submitted to the Deputy
