For a few NGOs, it’s a game of fame
Some organisations or NGOs are in a habit of sending a press release to the media offices almost every day. Sometimes it is a reaction to some happening, another time it is a critical analysis of some government policies, or at another time it is a recommendation to the government. And if nothing topical is found, they appreciate or criticise the news published in the media. The major portion of the press release has name of the office-bearers. Yesterday, the press release received at the office read – ‘Highly recommended to publish the photo’. One wonders what these people will not do to get their names and pictures published in the newspapers.
