Pre-monsoon showers to hit city next week

By next week, pre-monsoon showers will hit the city providing much needed relief to residents from the sweltering heat. The Met Department predicted that the city would receive rain on Monday that would bring down the day and night temperature.

Robbers fail to break open Axis Bank ATM in Kurali
Mohali, June 21
Unidentified miscreants made an attempt to break open an ATM of Axis Bank installed in Kurali last night. As per reports, two ATMs of the bank had been installed in one cabin located on the Morinda Road. The bank does not have any other branch in the area. The miscreants first broke the CCTV camera installed inside the ATM booth.

Met helpline buzzing with calls
Chandigarh, June 21
25-year-old Sushma, who is planning to go to Kullu next week along with her family, rang up the Met Department helpline this morning to check on the weather condition of Himachal
Pardesh. She was inquiring whether it would rain in Kullu or not next week so that the weather did not play a spoilsport during her family outing.
This is not the only call which the weather helpline receives but due to summer vacation residents keep calling up the centre to know about the weather forcast before embarking on a holiday.
