Sizzling sun melts down joy, fun
Ludhiana, June 16
As the summer catches up and the sun sweats us all out, we go crazy looking for options to beat the heat. People prefer mocktails and soft drinks to thandai, lassi, aam panna, jaljeera and nimbu paani. With so many other options available in the market, residents seem to have forgotten the traditional drinks. Children prefer savouring milkshakes, juices and colas.

Jal jeera: Jal jeera is used as an appetiser because of its digestive properties. There are some other strong spices and herbs used in it with cumin which makes it a tangy, sour, aromatic and spicy drink.
