Massive fire engulfs Plywood factory at Khanna

A firefighter douses the flames at the factory in Khanna. A tribune photograph A massive fire broke out at Sunrise Plywood Factory on Amloh Road in Khanna last night. Machinery, raw material and finished goods worth crores of rupees lying in the factory were destroyed. The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.

Training in agro-based industries ends

A five-day training course on small scale agro-based industries for the rural youth of Punjab concluded at the PAU. The Department of Processing and Food Engineering, PAU, organised the course in which as many as 20 trainees from all over Punjab took part.

Cement theft: Accused arrested after one year 
Jagraon, May 9
The Jagraon police have arrested a proclaimed offender in a theft case. The accused has been identified as Mohini Singh, a resident of Mohalla Rampura, Jagraon. He was arrested by a police team from PO Wing of the Jagraon police from the Moga Railway Station following a tip off.
