Court rejects closure report, orders reinvestigation

The court of Civil Judge (Junior Division) Pamelpreet Grewal today rejected the cancellation report in the high profile fraud case involving Congress MLA Jeet Mohinder Singh as an accused and ordered a reinvestigation into it.

High Court rap for UT police

The Chandigarh police is in the dock. The Punjab and Haryana High Court has taken a serious view of grant of parole to a rape convict twice within three months of his conviction. It has now given the police time till May 5 to explain under what circumstances and for what reason was the parole granted.

Onion prices up Rs 5 per kg
