In perhaps the biggest exercise undertaken to encourage more voting, the UT Election Department has literally “flooded” the city with banner, posters and buntings asking the electorate to caste their ballot before enjoying shopping, eating and entertainment at discounted rates.

Yuvraj Singh’s house stoned

Disappointed with India's defeat in the T20 World Cup final, unidentified cricket fans staged a protest and pelted stones at cricketer Yuvraj Singh's house in Modern Complex, Mani Majra. The fans reached outside the house and started raising slogans. Yuvraj's domestic help who was at home informed the police. Security was befeed up outside the house.
