Woman molested, 1 booked:
Rajinder Singh, a taxi driver of Gobindgarh village near here, was booked for allegedly molesting a Home Guard's wife on Friday. The Home Guard is posted at city police station. No arrest has been made so far.

Civil Surgeon held for graft: Vigilance Department sleuths on Friday caught Faridkot Civil Surgeon allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a pharmacist. The pharmacist sought a clean chit in a PNDT Act case. Baldev Singh Sahota was held taking the bribe from pharmacist Jagsir Ram at Bariwala Community Health Center in Muktsar.

1.2 lakh join AAP:
Over 1.20 lakh people have joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the Gurdaspur parliamentary seat. Gurdaspur unit spokesman Inderbir Singh claimed nearly 64,000 members were enrolled manually while an equal number registered online.

Youth crushed to death: An alleged old enmity cost a teenager, Manpreet Singh (16) of Saila Khurd, his life as he was crushed under a tractor trailer. Though the driver, Prabhdeep Singh of Nariala village, managed to escape, he has been booked.

3 students hurt in scuffle
: Three youths suffered injuries when they entered into a scuffle late this evening on the road separating Sectors 9 and 10. In a fit of rage, they stabbed each other. The youths, who are college students and residents of Mohali, have been identified as Gurmanjot, Abhinav and Jaswinder. The police are suspecting it to be a case of road rage. The condition of the students, who came in separate cars, is said to be stable.
