JD (U) slams Shinde’s remark on Adarsh scam
New Delhi, Jan 07 (ANI): JD (U) leader Shivanand Tiwari on Tuesday slammed Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde for his comment on Adarsh scam. Shinde had rubbished allegations of corruption in the allotment of flats in the Adarsh housing society and said that the land belongs to the state government and there was no reservation for Kargil jawans. Talking to mediapersons in New Delhi, Tiwari said that Shinde’s remark was shocking.
AAP suspends 3 DJB officials, transfers 800 others
New Delhi, Jan 07 (ANI): The Delhi government headed by Arvind Kejriwal suspended 3 officials of the Delhi Jal Board and transferred around 800 others in a massive reshuffle aimed at improving efficiency and delivery. Chief water analyst Vinod Kumar, patwari Sunil Kumar and meter reader Atul Prakash were suspended following orders by Kejriwal. Education and PWD Minister Manish Sisodia said that the trio was seeking money to clear use of water for building construction and meter reading, as showed in a TV sting operation. Sisodia said that the cases will be filed against the three officials. The action came after the water distribution board's Chief Executive Officer Debashree Mukherjee was transferred on December 28.
Strong counter infiltration process on, ceasefire maintained: GOC Dagger Division
Baramulla, Jan 07 (ANI): Giving information about any infiltration attempts at the Uri region of Kashmir, GOC Dagger Division Major Gen Anil Chauhan said that a strong counter infiltration process is in place and ceasefire from both sides is maintained. He said that there are no surety on whether there will be infiltration or not, but the preparations for the same is in place.
