DC asks NGOs to help drug addicts

City-based different non government organisations have come forward to help drug addicts who will get free treatment at drug de-addiction centre of Red Cross. On the request of District administration NGO - Aann Jal Sewa Trust and Samvedna have agreed to provide free to the addicts. |

Trader ends his life

A 50- year-old fruit trader committed suicide at Salem Tabri after his business partner allegedly refused to return the money he had invested in the business.
The victim has been identified as Sudershan Khera.

Despite patrolling, little headway in theft cases

Activists of Youth Congress, Jagraon, held a protest march against Punjab Revenue and Public Relations Minister Bikramjit Singh Majithia here today.

Schools to be merged

Two middle schools in the district having less than 20 students are going to be merged with the nearby high schools.
On the instructions issued by the Education Department, Gangagir School at Manuke village and Government Middle School, Malodaad, will soon be merged with the nearby government high schools.

Only 2 doctors manage Amloh Civil Hospital

Drug peddler held

The Khanna police claimed to have recovered 80 kg of poppy husk from a person.
The alleged accused has been identified as Sarabjiot Singh, a resident of Gill village near
