Hundred inmates of the Central Jail have got a Diwali gift. During a lok adalat on the jail premises, 100 cases of the Central Jail, Women's Jail and Boston Jail were disposed of today.

Teacher killed in accident
Samrala, October 26
A teacher of a private school was killed after being hit by a car near Ghulal village on the Ludhiana-Chandigarh road.
Nirvair Singh, a resident of Upplan village, had come on a two-wheeler to drop his wife Harpreet Kaur (28).
As soon as Harpreet got down of the two-wheeler, a Swift car coming from the Ludhiana side hit her. She died on the spot.
