Gang of thieves busted, two arrested 

Phagwara, October 4
With the arrest of two persons last night, the police claimed to have busted an inter-district gang of thieves.

The accused have been identified as Mukesh Kumar of Kot Fatuhi village and Honey Kumar of Rampur village near Harkrishan Nagar in Phagwara.

However, three other gang members, identified as Monu of Nadhala, Pamma of Binjo village and Dharminder of Barrewal village, managed to escape. SHO Ravinder Singh said the police has recovered one stolen Alto car and a Splender motorcycle from the accused. 

The accused have confessed their involvement in stealing vehicles and selling them after changing their number plates and preparing fake documents. Raids are being conducted to nab the remaining accused, the SHO said. — OC
