7 booked for clash over cremation

A day after the death of Amrik Singh (45), who was killed in a clash over the cremation a former sarpanch's mother at Sahnewal yesterday, the city police has booked seven persons, including two women, in this case.

Perturbed over the daily applications by the Elementary Teachers Training (ETT) staff working under the zila parishad, seeking transfers at certain blocks/villages, the authorities seem to have found a way by which almost all the teachers will feel happy and focus entirely on the studies of the students in government schools of the district.
