Renovated emergency ward to be opened at Rajindra Hospital:
State Medical Education and Research Minister Chuni Lal Bhagat, along with principal secretary of the Medical Education and Research Department Vini Mahajan, will inaugurate the newly renovated ward no.1 at Government Rajindra Hospital on June 19. The 30-bedded ward has been installed with latest equipment and machinery worth Rs 37 lakh, which includes bed monitors, attached X-ray and ECG facilities.

Relay of 'Jodha Akbar' banned:
The district administration today banned the relay of TV serial Jodha Akbar as members of a community had objected against this serial for hurting their feelings. SDM Mukesh Ahuja had protested against the relay of tele-serial Jodha Akbar on a private TV channel, alleging that it depicted their community in bad light. The community members stated that the makers of the serial had also distorted historical facts. The administration held a meeting with local cable TV operators today before issuing the directions not to relay this serial.

KU results:
Kurukshetra University (KU) has declared the results of BPharma(eighth semester), BSc sports (sixth semester), BA (sixth Semester) and MA sociology (fourth semester) examinations. Dr Hukam Singh, Controller of Examinations, said the results had been uploaded on the KU website www.result.kuk.ac.in, he added.

Rewari
4 killed in road mishap
: Sanjay, Pritam and Amit were killed while Sandeep sustained serious injuries when their motor cycles collided near Guriani village, 26 km from Rewari, yesterday. One of the injured,Sandeep, later died in the Rohtak PGIMS. The mishap took place when Sanjay and his two associates, were going to Kosli while Amit and Sandeep were on their way to Rewari. Sanjay of Alwar district in Rajasthan and Pritam of Saban village, near Bawal, were employed in a private company in the Bawal industrial area. Amit was a resident of Guriani village, near Kosli, whereas Sandeep hailed from the Charkhi Dadri area of Bhiwan district.

Youth stabbed to death: Following an altercation at a social function at Bodia Kamalpur village, last night, Bhupinder Yadav ( 20 ) was stabbed to death by his uncle Rajesh Yadav. Sources said when some villagers gathered to celebrate the birth of a daughter of Rajesh, Bhupinder had heated arguments on some issue with Rajesh who grew infuriated and fatally stabbed Bhupinder with a knife. The police has registered a case of murder against Rajesh who is absconding.

BSF jawan ends life: BSF jawan Satpal (45) committed suicide by hanging himself at nearby Nangli Godha village yesterday. The deceased, who was posted in Dehi, was on leave. Sources said he ended his life due to mental trauma caused by his son’s murder here in October, 2012. The police has treated it as a case of incidental death.

Road accident victim dies:
Shuvkaran, son of Bidhi Chand of Raja Ka Bagh, near here, was injured seriously when he was hit by a speeding unidentified vehicle and succumbed to injuries last night. The deceased was on his way back home on foot when the mishap occurred. The police has registered a hit-and-run case against unidentified vehicle driver. DSP Rajiv Atre said a case under Sections 279 and 304 (A), IPC, and Motor Vehicle Act had been registered in this connection.
