Dhaliwal is new Tarn Taran DC: BS Dhaliwal has been posted as the Deputy Commissioner of Tarn Taran, GS Sidhu as Special Secretary, School Education and SS Gulati as Additional Excise and Taxation Commissioner. These officers are among five IAS officers transferred on Monday. Sanjay Kumar and Manashvi Kumar have been given additional charges.

Youth held for molesting minor: The police has arrested Ravinder Kumar (20) for allegedly molesting a five-year-old girl at Jandwala Mirasangla village in the district. A complaint lodged at the Khui Khera police station stated that the accused, residing in the minor's neighbourhood, tried to rape her while she had gone to his house to watch television.

Two child labourers rescued in Banga: A task force constituted by Deputy Commissioner Tanu M Kashyap to curb the menace of child labour in the district on Monday conducted surprise checks at various business establishments. The team rescued two child labourers working at sweetshops in Banga. The shop owners were challaned.
