Not mandatory to supply copies of chargesheet, says police

In its reply to the court in the Jyoti murder case, the Panchkula police today said it was not mandatory for it to supply the copies of the chargesheet to all the accused at the same time. The court had pulled up the police after it failed to provide the copies of the challan to the accused.
Man tries to kill wife

In a shocking incident, a man allegedly pushed his wife and banged her head against a wall and tried to run his car over her and his seven-year-old ailing son on the premises of the Panchkula court this afternoon.
The couple had a matrimonial dispute and the victim, Vinita Kaul, had come to the court to record her statement.
