Christmas Revelry in city

Beautifully decorated churches across the city were over crowded as the devotees thronged to offer prayer to Jesus Christ on Christmas. Not only Christian families but non-Christian families showed enthusiasm in celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
Fog did not deter the spirits of the devotees who were seen rushing to the churches early in the morning. People offered prayers while mass prayers and other rituals had begun on the Christmas Eve itself.

Woman gives birth in ambulance

A migrant pregnant woman gave birth to a girl child in an ambulance near Halwara town, about 17-18 km away from Jagraon, when she was being taken to the hospital for delivery today.

Blood donation camp
NSS volunteers of Gobindgarh Public College, Alour, Khanna, offered remarkable community services during the fourth day of camp. NSS unit of college organised a blood donation camp. In this camp 40 volunteers donated blood. A medical check-up camp was also organised in which a team of doctors took a regular medical check-up of the volunteers.

Fun, frolic and festivity mark celebrations
Vajra Army School
Vajra Army School celebrated Christmas with a festive spirit wherein the school premises were aptly decorated and the students dressed for the occasion. The tiny tots of kindergarten presented a colourful dance on “I will make you fishers of men”. The primary students presented the nativity play to convey the message of love, tolerance and brotherhood. `Jingle bells', ‘Rudolph - the red nose reindeer', filled the air with festivity. Finally, the much awaited Santa Claus made a grand entry to distribute gifts and chocolates to the students and staff.
