MLA’s kin threatening rape victim: Cong: The Punjab Youth Congress committee president Bikramjit Singh Chaudhary today demanded resignation of the SAD MLA from Budhlada over the issue of a girl being raped in Dalewan
village. Chaudhary alleged that relatives of the Budhlada legislator were threatening the victim and his family to withdraw their complaint.

Girl rescued, abductor arrested:
The police today arrested Vijay Kumar of a local colony for abducting a minor girl, Krishna, studying in Class IX in a government school here, on December 10.
A case under Sections 363 and 366 of the IPC was registered against Vijay.
Sat Pal, father of the girl, had lodged a complaint before the police on December 11 that his daughter, who went to school, did not return home. The girl was rescued from Onkar Nagar and was admitted to a hospatal last night.
Peddler held
The police today arrested a drug peddler, Dharmender Singh, resident of
Govindpura, and recovered 250 gm of intoxicant powder from him. He was nabbed during a naka near Guru Nanak Pura today, the police said.
