Girl pulls out pistol, points it at youth

CHB revokes its decision on freehold, transfer of flats

Students paying extra for meals

Students of PU are unaware of the fact that the shops at Student Centre have rolled back the rates of meals after the students’ agitation. They are still paying the previous rates. In the absence of separate rate lists, students are being overcharged by the shopkeepers.

Youth electrocuted

A 23-year-old youth was electrocuted to death after he came in contact with a
high-tension wire while working at a sewerage treatment plant in Hotel Shiraaz1 at Sector 5,
Panchkula. The victim, Ram Gopal, was rushed to General Hospital in Sector 6,

The Punjab Education Minister, Sikander Singh Malooka, said all vacant posts of teachers in the state would be fulfilled within one year. He assured that the infrastructure need of the schools would also be met in the coming three years and plans are already in place for this purpose.
