Lok Adalat:
As many as 33 out of 134 cases were settled on the spot in a Special Women Lok Adalat organised by the District Legal Service Authority on the premises of the local Judicial Complex here on Saturday. The Lok Adalat was presided over by District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman District Legal Service Authority Lalit Batra.

PO arrested: The police has arrested a proclaimed offender (PO) Akram Khan of Shadipur district in Yamunanagar. A case under Sections 458 and 380 of the IPC was registered against him at Thana Ladwa on December 29, 2008, and the court had declared him a PO on October 21, 2010. He was produced in a court here on Sunday, which sent him to judicial lock-up.

Two booked: Sanjay Kumar of Karnal lodged a complaint with the police that Vikramjeet Singh of Jagadhri currently working with Bharat Gas Agency, Barara Road, Shahabad and Chirag Manocha, an officer in Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, Laldoo, had duped him of Rs 19 lakh promising to make him their partner in a gas agency. But they have neither made him their partner in a gas agency nor returned him the amount till now. A case has been registered against them.

SONEPAT
4 gangsters held:
The police on Sunday arrested four gangsters from a deserted house near Osho Ashram and seized two pistols, two country-made revolvers and 13 cartridges from their possession. The gangsters were identified as Surender, Rakesh, Amit and Vikram Singh and a case under various sections of the IPC and the Arms Act has been registered against them.
