Traders say process at ICP tedious: At least 200 trucks loaded with tomatoes,
soyabean, cotton and chemicals cross the Attari-Wagah border everyday. But a section of traders feel that the lengthy process at the Integrated Check Post
(ICP) and the lack of matching infrastructure on the Pakistani side are an impediment to further growth of the trade. The "cumbersome" procedure, the traders say, is restricting exports. Exporters complain that they now had to deal with different agencies like the Central Warehousing Corporation
(CWC) as well as the BSF for necessary clearance. Chandigarh
Overseas Congress: The Indian Overseas Congress, New Zealand, has appointed Taranbir Singh Lally as its Spokesman for India. Disclosing this here, IOC New Zealand President Harminder Partap Singh Cheema said Lally would work to promote ties between New Zealand and India as well as help Punjabis settled in New Zealand in case they faced any problems in India and Punjab.

Sukhbir: Will look into Henry case: Problems for Congress leader Avtar Henry, who lost his Indian citizenship recently, seem to be multiplying with Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal, who holds the Home portfolio, saying that he would look into the matter. "I have not yet received the file with orders by the Ministry of Home Affairs (Foreigners Division) to cease his Indian citizenship. But the issue will be looked into," he said.
