Boy killed in mishap: Ashish, 15, of Mandhothi village, was crushed to death by a speeding car near Aasudha village on the National Highway-10 here today. The driver fled the spot leaving the car behind. The police has registered a case of rash and negligent driving against the accused driver.

BJP wants to enrol 2 lakh members in state: The state unit of the BJP has set a target to enrol two lakh members in  Jammu and Kashmir  during an ongoing membership drive.Addressing a function in connection with the membership drive in the New Plot area of Jammu city today, general secretary of the party Sat Sharma said, “The party has set a target to enrol two lakh members from Jammu, Ladakh and Kashmir.” 

Body found: An unidentified man was declared brought dead at the Government Medical College Hospital this evening. GMCH sources said possible reason for his death was cardiac arrest. The body has been kept in a mortuary.
