Two arrested for murder: Two persons, Akhilesh and Deepak, were arrested on Saturday for NTPC engineer P Saji’s murder on July 27. While Akhilesh is an auto-driver, Deepak had an auto-rickshaw spare parts business. Saji was murdered on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway near Kherki Dhaula while he was returning home. After the murder, the duo fled with Saji’s car, mobile phone,
laptop and a briefcase containing some important documents. Industrialist passes away: KC Papreja, Gurgaon-based industrialist and honorary general secretary of the Gurgaon Industrial Association (GIA), passed away here on Sunday. He was 73. Doctor dies of heart attack: Dr MR Bishnoi, a former president of the Hisar chapter of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), died here on Sunday after a massive heart attack. He was 73. Dr Bishnoi had established the National Fertility Centre and Bishnoi Nursing Home here in 1977 . It went on to become a leading centre of invitro fertilisation. The IMA has mourned his death. Universities sign MoU: Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University and Punjab Agricultural University have signed a MoU to promote academic exchange and cooperation between the two universities. Man dies in accident: Vikas of Bachini village was killed while his associate, Dharmender, sustained injuries when their motorcycle hit a stationary truck on the Kanina-Kosli road, near Jhal village, on Sunday. The mishap took place when they were going to Palda village of Jhajjar district via
Kosli. Youth electrocuted: A village youth was electrocuted after he touched an electric pole at Panwar village on Sunday. The incident took place when electric current abruptly pervaded Bhim Singh’s house due to rainfall, while making a bid to detach the electric connection linked to the pole, he got electrocuted.

Missing woman’s body identified: The woman whose decomposed body was found on the banks of the Pong Dam reservoir at Nagrota Surian near Jawali on August 9 has been identified as Jagdamba Devi (62) of Jaisinghpur in Palampur sub-division.
Her family members identified the body at the Tanda medical college,
Kangra, last evening where the body had been sent for forensic examination.
