ASI shoots himself with service revolver
Fatehgarh Sahib, August 9 According to information when the deceased, who has been identified as Sukhvinder Singh, did not visit the police station this morning, then his colleagues searched for him in his quarter and found him in a pool of blood. Deputy Superintendent of Police Amardeep Singh said Sukhwinder was suffering from depression for the past few days. He was also a patient of asthama. SHO Gurmeet Singh said that the post-mortem report had confirmed that the ASI had died 36 hours before. Sources said, the domestic feud was the main reason behind ASI’s suicide. The police has registered a case. |
Woman commits suicide in Sec 34
Chandigarh, August 9 A matrimonial dispute is said to be the reason behind the woman taking this extreme step. The deceased, identified as Jamuna, is survived by two children aged five and three, respectively. The incident occurred last night at 11 pm when Jamuna had a fight with her husband Mohinder, who is a waiter at a hotel in Sector 26. Jamuna reportedly had an argument over spilling of water on the floor. After a violent scuffle between the couple, Mohinder went out of the servant quarters when Jamuna hung herself. Her children were the witness to her committing suicide. The police said no suicide note was recovered from the spot. The police has initiated inquest proceedings under Section 174 of the CrPC. |
