Man held with poppy husk
:The CIA staff has arrested Balwinder Kumar of Langroia village in Nawanshahar with 90 kg of poppy husk. The police also impounded his zeep. It is suspected that Balwinder sold drugs brought from Rajasthan side. The accused had been sent to police remand till July 12.

DEHRADUN

Two arrested for attacking man with knife: Two persons were arrested by the Nehru Colony police for allegedly beating up Savij Khan, a resident of Ajabpur Kalan. Acting on a complaint filed by Savij Khan, the police arrested Shailesh Dimri, who is a relative of Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna, and Avinash Pandey from Ajabpur Kalan. According to the police, the duo had attacked Khan with a knife. They have been booked under different Sections of the IPC.
