PSEB to hold maths practical exam

From this session, the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), Mohali, will conduct Practical examination of mathematics. In a circular issued by the board, it has been mentioned that marks of the practical examination would also included in the total marks.

40-yr-old woman ‘set on fire’
Ludhiana, March 31
Four persons, including two women, have been booked for allegedly setting a 40-year-old woman on fire following a quarrel at the Old Court area here today.
The victim, identified as Aarti, was visiting her sister's house for the past few days.
HC Judge Gupta visits courts complex

Justice Hemant Gupta, a Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, today visited the city courts. He was accorded a warm welcome by the judges and lawyers.

Lok Adalat settles 220 cases

As many as 220 cases were settled at the monthly Lok Adalat held here today under the supervision of Karamjit Singh Kang, in charge Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority.

Level crossing a headache for commuters

A level crossing of Rampur, which remains closed most of the time, has become a headache for commuters. Of late, the level crossing has started remaining closed due to technical snag. The commuters are forced to look for alternate routes through surrounding villages.

Tiwari meets agitating jewellers

Councillor accused of not paying proper house tax

As the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation elections are nearing, the politics of allegations and counter-allegations have started. A local resident has accused a BJP councillor and her husband of causing loss to the civic body by not paying proper house tax.
100 file nominations

Today was the last day for filing nominations for the honorary posts of office-bearers of the Punjab Sahit
Akademi. The nominations were opened on March 26. According to sources, 100 nominations have been filed so far. These would be scrutinised tomorrow and candidates would be allowed to withdraw their candidatures till April 5. The election would be held on April 15.
