Man gets 7-yr RI for rape

Additional Sessions Judge Mohammad Gulzar has convicted Dharampal, alias Ricky, of New Ashok
Nagar, Salem Tabri , on the charges of enticing a girl and raping her. He has been sentenced to rigorous imprisonment for seven years.
A case was registered following the complaint of the father of the girl in 2008. The accused had stated that the girl was his legally wedded wife.

Acting on a complaint about harassment to general public during the payment of electricity bills at the cash counters of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) in different parts of the city, the Punjab State Human Rights Commission (PSHRC) has sought a detailed report from the power utility before the next date of hearing on April 24, 2012.
