Jalandhar, January 4
A day after former Local Bodies Minister and BJP candidate from the Jalandhar Central constituency Manoranjan Kalia took out a procession in the city, it was the turn of Bhagat Chunni Lal, the BJP candidate from Jalandhar West today.

The candidate, along with his son Mahinder Bhagat, took out a rally in his constituency. Octogenarian Bhagat could not even stand in his open vehicle and rather preferred to sit. Owing to this, the others in the open jeep, including SAD’s senior deputy mayor Kamaljit Bhatia and party youth leader Sheetal Angural, stole the limelight.

Also stealing the show was his son Mahinder Bhagat who too remained garlanded and walked ahead of the procession greeting everyone.

The procession went through Nakodar Road, lanes of Bhargo Camp, Basti areas and other colonies falling in the constituency.

Meanwhile, there have been reports of BJP leader and Punjab Khadi Board chairman Vijay Sampla who too has been a ticket contender, thinking of a shift.
