PU to brace metal detectors to prevent
cheating

With mobiles becoming increasingly popular as “aids” in examination halls, Panjab University (PU) will now be using metal detectors in the semester examination commencing from November 21. Not only the invigilators, but also flying squads to various Punjab colleges will be using these detectors.
Students arrested for laptop thefts

The crime branch of the police arrested two students for allegedly stealing laptops and stereos from parked cars by using a glass-cutter. One of the accused is an engineering student at Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering.
Woman thwarts kidnap bid
